About Us

Personal Attendant Care Inc. is a charitable non-profit organization, in the Durham Region, governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, providing personal support and assisted living to individuals with physical disabilities, allowing them to remain independent in their community for over 30 years. 

We were founded in 1974 as a supportive housing unit for adults.  In 1992 the organization transitioned into home support services to ensure individuals could stay in their own home, and receive the support required to achieve this.  We continuously strive to improve our quality standards and have been accredited through Accreditation Canada since 2000.

Personal Attendant Care Inc. is proud to have provided services to hundreds of residents of the Durham Region over the years. Our Personal Support Workers are trained individuals providing pre-arranged services at the clients’ homes, place of work and /or at their educational institution. With the dedication of our employees we will continue with our tradition of providing excellent service to as many people as possible.   

One of the major strengths of our organization is the devotion of our Personal Support Workers. At Personal Attendant Care Inc. we strive to contribute positively to the lives of individuals with physical disabilities in our community.  We promote personal growth and job satisfaction of our Personal Support Workers which is critical to the success of Personal Attendant Care Inc.
